What kind of images do I use on my web page?
The types of usable images are determined by browser support. There are only two types that are universally supported on the Internet, GIF and JPEG. Only images with file extensions of .gif or .jpg can be uploaded to your Web site.
What size images may I use?
Individual images are restricted to 100,000 bytes (or 100kb) in size. In general, it is a good idea to restrict the size of images since large images adversly affect download times. In general, you image should be no larger that 250 pixels wide. You may use larger, but for formatting purposes, the best results are achieved at this size.
How do I edit my images?
There are many image editing programs on the market. The most well known and expensive is Adobe Photoshop. There are far less expensive programs that will adjust the size, color and file formats to the same degree as Photoshop. The one we recommend is Paint Shop Pro.
